(condemnation/redemption: the story of minnie baker - 2022)
approaching the halfway mark in my masters', and taking onboard the skills learned from the first two modules, course practice shifted the focus to long-form project management and development. the seeds sown when pitching and experimenting across mediums previously would come to grow in a collaborative capacity.
provided with a brief from an industry partner, myself and two other individuals were tasked with creating a functional, conceptual prototype. in our case, this took the form of a historical interpretation of the old magistrates' courts in central bristol alongside creative youth network. our project involved using projectors and spatial audio to guide visitors through the aged building and the life story of a young person whose experiences there changed her life.
during this process, we individually crafted research questions to guide our practice and team roles, culminating in a presentation, demonstration, and written original account and essay covering every base.
whilst i specialised on sound design and development, i also practiced graphic design, making the posters for this project, as well as project planning, ideation, live demonstration and rigging/loading.
